“These rankings reflect the amazing work being done by our teachers, students, and staff, and the strong support we receive from the community,” Charlottesville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Royal Gurley Jr. said. “Clearly, the diversity of our community is one of our greatest strengths.”

The rankings are based on Charlottesville City Schools' performance across numerous factors analyzed by Niche, including academic performance, extracurricular activity opportunities, data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education, as well as user input from current students, alumni, and parents.
