September 6, 2026

Hello, awesome CMS families!!

REMINDER - there is no school tomorrow (M 09.07.26) in observance of Labor Day!!

How great is it to start our day with Mr. Kuchta's ukulele playing and end our day with Mr. Wells' enthusiasm down at the bus loop (even when the temperature is a bajillion degrees)?!  These guys bring the positive energy, all day, every day!!

Our girls' volleyball team won their first match this past week!!  GO YOUNG KNIGHTS!!

6th graders practiced paragraph writing using the RACE strategy (Restate, Answer, Cite, Explain).  They were given a map of the classroom and hallway area to find the parts of the paragraph and had to decide which evidence was better.  The final step was to highlight the paragraph based on the strategy they learned!!

7th graders engaged in a poetry slam that was judged by staff and select 8th graders!!
